Roberto Palumbo has been interested in technic and sciences from childhood on. To combine both interests, he decided to study engineering. “As an engineer, I can use both to develop practical things or services”, he explains. After having graduated at the Lycée Robert Schuman, he studied engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT). He now leads construction and infrastructure projects for a Luxembourgish firm. “The technical aspect is less important, but it is really interesting to coordinate and bring together the different players of a project”.
He learned from the students’ association ANEIL about the “Prix d’excellence”. “That was a great end of the studies and a big satisfaction to get such a recognition for one’s thesis”, he remembers. He spent part of the money and put the rest aside.
