Fondation Enovos was set up in 2010 by Enovos Luxembourg S.A. and is under the aegis of Fondation de Luxembourg, a non-profit foundation. It reflects Enovos’ leitmotiv to act as a responsible company towards the current and future generations, in its role as an energy provider and beyond. An independent advisory committee assesses every project and decides on the allocation of resources.
Guided by the idea that the company must be at the service of humankind and society, the founders chose to contribute to the progress of know-how and technologies that make sustainable development possible, but also to engage in social projects that benefit the most vulnerable members of society who require special support.
The production and reliable supply of energy are issues that play an ever greater role in our society. Fondation Enovos is actively following and contributing to this development, taking economic, environmental and social aspects into consideration.

Human warmth is the most effective source of energy in our lives. Considering the fast pace of everyday life, it is important to think about those who, for whatever reason, require and deserve special support or assistance for their personal development. Fondation Enovos takes its social responsibility very seriously, and helps to create prospects for many different members of society. It supports projects to help children with behavioural problems, young cancer sufferers and their families, and sportspeople with intellectual disabilities, to mention but a few. The common idea is to stand by members of society who are vulnerable in general or at certain times in their lives.
Since 2012, Fondation Enovos is awarding its "Prix d'excellence" to engineering students for the excellence of their Master thesis. The prize aims to promote engineering studies and careers.
Togehter with its partners of Association da vinci and ANEIL, Fondation Enovos awards every year the best Master theses of young engineers. An independent jury composed of 6 engineers has chosen 6 laureates among 18 candidates for the excellence of their thesis. This year's winners are Joe Bartholmé, Michel Haag, Max Muller, Laure Cuny, Jérôme Poos and Céline Reichel.
